Privacy Policy
This is an English translation. If it differs from the Korean version, the Korean version prevails.
Half and Half Co., Ltd. (the “Company”) publishes this Privacy Policy under the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea to protect personal information and handle related requests promptly. It applies to the website half-and-half.com and to the mobile apps the Company operates (the “Services”). Where an individual app has its own policy, that policy prevails for that app.
1. Personal information we process
- Enquiries: email address, name (optional), message content
- App sign-up and sign-in: account identifier (email or social sign-in identifier), nickname
- Generated automatically while using an app: device information (model, OS version, language, country), usage records, IP address, error logs, advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID; iOS IDFA only with your permission)
- Reward payouts (apps with reward features only): the delivery details needed for a payout (mobile number, email address or wallet address, as applicable)
2. Purposes
- Providing the Services and managing accounts
- Answering enquiries and complaints
- Paying rewards and keeping payout records
- Preventing abuse (multiple accounts, automation tools, invalid ad clicks)
- Improving the Services and producing statistics
- Serving ads and measuring ad performance
3. Retention
We delete personal information without delay once its purpose is fulfilled or you delete your account, except where the law requires us to keep it:
- Records of contracts and withdrawals: 5 years (Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce)
- Records of payments and supply of goods: 5 years (same Act)
- Records of consumer complaints and disputes: 3 years (same Act)
- Access logs: 3 months (Protection of Communications Secrets Act)
4. Disclosure to third parties
We do not provide personal information to third parties unless you consent or the law specifically requires it.
5. Processors and transfers abroad
We use the following processors to run the Services, which involves transferring personal information outside Korea over the network at the time you use the Services. Retention lasts until the end of the processing contract or the periods in section 3.

If you refuse a transfer required for app sign-up, you will not be able to use that app.
6. Deletion
Personal information whose retention period has ended is deleted without delay. Electronic files are deleted so they cannot be recovered and paper records are shredded or incinerated.
7. Your rights
You may ask to access, correct, delete or stop the processing of your personal information at any time by emailing contact@half-and-half.com or by using the account deletion feature in the app. We act on requests within 10 days and tell you the result.
8. Security measures
- Access to personal information is limited to the staff who need it
- Encryption in transit (HTTPS)
- Retention and review of access logs
9. Cookies and advertising identifiers
The website does not store cookies.
Our apps may use advertising identifiers for personalised ads and ad measurement. On Android go to Settings › Privacy › Ads, and on iOS go to Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking, to reset the identifier or opt out of tracking. You can still use the app after opting out and will see non-personalised ads.
10. Children
The Services are not directed at children under 14. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 14, we delete it immediately.
